What is an EICR?

EICR stands for Electrical Installation Condition Report. An EICR consists of inspection & testing of your fixed electrical installation, to determine the safety for Tenants, Building owners & occupiers.

In general, an EICR helps identify-

  • The integrity and health of an installation

  • Check for damage to wiring accessories & switchgear

  • Ensuring the property is compliant with relevant regulation

  • To help you keep up to date

An EICR, is a report on the condition of an electrical installation. The report can be used to assess risk and determine the level of safety, it is critical for identifying and rectifying any known issues, while developing safety measures to mitigate risk or danger,

Five year Electrical Checks

This is a legal requirement in England (privately rented homes) and Scotland (privately and socially rented homes) and is due to be introduced in Wales in July 2022 (privately and socially rented homes).
